Soft leather
This type of leather has a smooth texture and is easy to maintain. Before wearing the sneaker, you should apply a leather protection spray that is dirt and water repellent. We recommend the DFNS Protector for this. Environmentally friendly, biodegradable and the result is insane!
Use a leather brush to remove the dirt from the shoe. Then use a damp cloth to wipe the shoe. Both are included in the DFNS Cleaning Kit.
SUEDE
Suede is a delicate kind of leather that needs to be treated with care. Here too it is important that you first apply a leather protection spray that is dirt and water repellent. The DFSN Protector has been tested on a vast range of materials—from canvas, leather to rubber, suede and nubuck. Make sure you apply it correctly and if you want to be extra cautious, carry out a spot test first.
For removing small stains use a rubber pencil eraser or a suede cleaning brush. Make sure to gently brush in one direction!
Tumbled, oiled nubuck, waxed and thumper leather
These types of leather naturally have a soft and oily texture. A difference in colour is easily resolved by rubbing the leather with a soft cloth. Before wearing the shoes, make sure to apply DFSN Protector spray. Use a restorative oil that soaks into the leather to keep it soft and flexible.
Use a nubuck brush to remove the dirt from the shoe. Then gently apply a dedicated nubuck cleaning product with a dry cloth. Wipe the shoe clean with the cloth and allow to dry.
Canvas, nylon and knitted fabric
These are cotton and nylon-based fabrics that breathe. Make sure to put them out in the fresh air regularly. Before wearing the shoes, make sure to apply textile DFSN Protector spray that is dirt and water repellent.
Use a brush to remove the dirt from the shoe. Then use a damp cloth to remove stains and wipe the shoe clean. Both are included in the DFNS Cleaning Kit.
