As of now, HUB Footwear is proudly B Corp certified. This certification is a testament to our unwavering commitment to transparency, sustainability, and social responsibility. It signifies that our actions meet the highest standards of verified performance, accountability, and transparency, ensuring we consider the impact of our decisions on our workers, customers, suppliers, community, and the environment.

We realize, we still have much to achieve. We're always striving to improve, and while it's a continuous journey, this certification confirms that we're headed in the right direction and it serves as extra motivation to keep moving forward.

At HUB we care about the way our shoes are made and we know that doing responsible business starts with knowing your product from the inside out. HUB Footwear was founded with the vision to make products with respect for the planet and the people and animals living in it. Our sneakers do not come at the cost of it.

The world is the playground where we design, make and wear our sneakers. And we want to take good care of it. In the design we make use of the best sustainable materials, so you don’t have to think twice before you buy a pair of our shoes. We know our suppliers that make our shoes very well. We have collaborated with them since the start in 2004. All suppliers where we place (new) orders are checked on how the conditions are in the factory and what influence the production has on the environment. We deliver your sneakers in 100% sustainable packaging and ensure efficient transport with local partners to cut carbon emissions: ready for you to wear them.

1. Fair & honest business

Every sneaker we make is produced in a fair & honest way. We invest in long-term collaborations and work with partners in Vietnam and Taiwan that we have known for many years. The good relationship we have with them creates insight in where different part of the shoe come from and under what conditions they are made. We check our partners on all aspects related to human rights, fair treatment, working conditions and the environment.

2. Sustainable product

Our sneakers define who we are. Knowing our product from the inside out helps us to make the right sustainable choices. We use leather that is certified to meet animal welfare, safety and environmental requirements. Using recycled materials helps us to reduce our environmental footprint, by saving raw materials, water for processing energy and CO2 emissions. At the same time, we continuously look for new, innovative or improved materials to use in our shoes. It’s how we continue reducing our impact.

3. Zero Waste

We see great efforts all around us, but still many valuable resources are being wasted. We commit to waste minimization: in making the shoe, delivering the shoe to our customers and at our HUB headquarters. We monitor waste management at our partners and see how we can reuse, recycle and minimize residual materials. We provide shoe care tips and products to help maintain the life cycle of the purchased sneakers, ensuring they stay in top condition for as long as possible. We use sustainable packaging to deliver the shoes to our customers and we have a waste policy at our HQ: making our people aware of our environmental footprint and carefully and separately collect waste streams.

We review waste streams and support our partners to minimize, reuse or recycle residuals.
Sustainable packaging: our shoeboxes are made from 100% recycled cardboard, and our shipping bags, made from 80% recycled plastic, are reusable for returns.
We don’t need extra (protective) materials besides the boxes, because the shoes are efficiently packed. Which saves a lot.
We carefully minimize, separate and (separately) collect waste streams in our HQ.
